Frequently Asked Questions
  • Is the Hold Me Tight® workshop religiously based?

    • HMT is not an expressly religious program. However, the material affirms principles that most religions embrace, such as monogamy, fidelity, commitment and closeness.

  • Is the workshop only for couples?

    • Yes, only for couples in committed relationship. However, that includes all couples: engaged, married, cohabiting, gay or straight. No matter how long you've been together, this workshop can make a huge difference.

  • How can my partner and I best prepare for the workshop?

    • A Hold Me Tight workshop is based on the book "Hold Me Tight," by Dr. Sue Johnson, or "Created for Connection," also by Sue Johnson. Either of those books will certainly enhance your experience and make the materials and exercises more familiar and rewarding. However, reading these books beforehand is by no means mandatory.

  • Are hotels nearby?

    • For couples who need overnight accommodations, many options are close, both in Maitland or nearby Orlando, with its own many attractions.

  • What about meals during the workshop?

    • We will break for lunch both days and a variety of restaurants surround the workshop venue.

  • What if I have to cancel?

    • If you need to cancel, you can do so for a full refund within 10 days of purchase (provided the date you notify us is two weeks or more prior to the workshop). Otherwise, we will credit you the amount of your ticket price toward a future workshop (minus a $50 administrative fee). If you have any questions, contact either Mark or Vicki.
